The flexible combination of face-to-face courses and virtual modules allows participants to retain full-time jobs while completing their doctoral degree mandatory courses. Optional activities involving participation in Coaching-On-the-Job, Simulation Exercises, Applied Research, and Lessons Learned Laborary will depend on special arrangements and additional funding.

Participants will be awarded a PhD degree in Boosting Peacekeeping Operations Impact from the University for Peace.

World-class lecturers: course lectures are provided by UPEACE professors, distinguished professors, experts, and practitioners from within the UN System and partner universities, as well as from Peacekeeping Training Centres, and International NGOs worldwide. The aim is to stimulate students to think in greater coordination, cooperation, and integration of resources and assets, opening windows of wisdom, and exposing them to practical field problems to develop cutting-edge academic results.

Applied learning: this Programme focuses on applied learning, where practical learning provides a solid foundation for solving complex field peace and development problems. University for Peace lecturers will lead Doctorate candidates to learn real-world experience in the field to better grasp global management and authoritative policy-making, which aims to help participants better grasp real-world policy and management decision options.
